The DRA begins its response work immediately after the Prime Minister designates a disaster zone.

One of the guiding principles of disaster management and reconstruction is that reconstruction begins the day of the disaster. We take that principle seriously. We quickly mobilize and begin working with government, agencies, relevant ministries, and NGOs to meet the immediate needs of disaster-affected communities.

Large-scale natural disasters shatter communities. Our goal is to make them whole again. We work hard and move quickly to restore normalcy and minimize trauma. because, once normalcy is restored, healing can begin.
