Disaster Reconstruction Authority

Creating a More Resilient Future

Bringing relief, recovery, and forward-thinking solutions to disaster-affected communities in The Bahamas.

About Us

Who is the DRA?

We are the Disaster Reconstruction Authority (DRA). That’s a complicated-sounding name, but our mission is simple: to help restore Bahamian communities devastated by natural disasters.

Homeowner Assistance and Relief Program

HARP Can Help

HARP is here to help! The DRA has reimagined its small home repairs initiative and created HARP – a Homeowner Assistance and Relief Program with the singular focus of getting displaced residents of Abaco and Grand Bahama back into their homes.

How We Assist Bahamians

How We Help

Large-scale natural disasters shatter communities. Our goal is to make them whole again. We move quickly to restore normalcy and minimize trauma. Because, once normalcy is restored, healing can begin.

Administrative Team

Our Team

The DRA is headed by a diverse board of directors and a seasoned executive management team. Together, they guide The Authority, providing critical oversight to help the agency achieve its mission. Meet our leadership.
